San Diego Brewery Tours’ local winners
San Diego Keeps its position at the top of the world of brewing beer. Coronado Brewing Company is named “Champion Brewery and Brewmaster” in the 2014 World Beer Cup Mid-size brewing category. The World Beer Cup began in 2002 by the Brewers Association. The World Beer Cup is one of the largest international beer competitions. This year, 4,754 beers were entered from 1,403 breweries representing 58 nations. This kind of acknowledgement isn’t new to the local breweries. In 2010, Ballast Point Brewing Company was awarded “Champion Brewery and Brewmaster” for the small category. Below is a list of the rest of the San Diego Brewery winners for 2014.

Port Brewing, San Marcos: bronze, Hop 15, imperial India pale ale category.
